Earl M. Ferguson

President
Mr. Ferguson has an extensive background in real estate, which includes numerous management positions with real estate companies in Washington D. C. Mr. Ferguson came to Richmond to serve as Executive Vice President of Weinstein Management Co., Inc. Mr. Ferguson continues to have a strong relationship with Weinstein today, and offers guidance as an independent consultant. Mr. Ferguson also served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Gumenick Properties. His responsibilities included property management for 5,000 residential units, renovation of older properties, financing, accounting and investments involving over $100,000,000 of assets. Mr. Ferguson established Artcraft Management, Inc., in 1993.

Mr. Ferguson received his Masters in Business Administration from the University of Virginia.

In addition to his corporate role he devotes time to Congregation Beth Ahabah.

 

Alethea M. Parker

Vice President of Property Operations
Ms. Parker joined Artcraft Management Inc., in September 1998 as a Property Manager. Ms. Parker was promoted to Regional Manager in July 2000; and because of her successful track record as Regional Manager, she was promoted again in December of 2005 to her current position. Ms. Parker’s multi-faceted background encompasses finance, accounting, property operations, acquisitions, personnel administration, training and education.

Ms. Parker’s property management career began in 1988 with A large Virginia Property Management Company. In 1992 she became the Property Manager of a 456-unit HUD property with substantial economic issues and deferred maintenance problems. Ms. Parker was the Advisor to four HUD properties in Norfolk and Portsmouth, including Mixed-Use, Section 8, and Section 236 properties.

Ms. Parker attended Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, VA.

 

Hilda G. Machado

Director Administration and Personnel
Ms. Machado joined Artcraft Management, Inc., in March 2002 as Executive Assistant to the VP of Property Operations. Hilda was promoted in November 2006 to Director Administration and Personnel.

Ms. Machado became interested in the real estate process and obtained her Real Estate License in 1982 when she began her employment with Bowers, Nelms, and Fonville where she worked as the Office Manager for a Real Estate Firm with 32 realtors. In 1984, Ms. Machado stayed in this field but moved to another firm, ERA Robert F. Douglas and Company.

In 1992, Ms. Machado obtained a position at AMF Bowling, Inc. as an Administrative Assistant to the VP of Acquisitions and Development and worked in this department for six years assisting the VP with contracts purchasing Bowling Centers throughout the World. Ms. Machado transferred to the Human Resources Department for the last two years of employment as the Administrative Assistant to the Vice President of Human Resources. Hilda pursued any educational opportunity afforded to her by AMF and obtained her CPS Designation (Certified Professional Secretary). This requires recertification and continuing education every 5 years and is equivalent to a BA.

Professional affiliations and designations include
Member of International Association of Administrative Professionals. Ms. Machado holds an inactive Real Estate License with the Richmond Board of Realtors. Fair Housing Certification with the Commonwealth of Virginia expiration 1/31/2009. AHM Certification (Assisted Housing Manager) received in July 2004. In November 2005 attended Management Skills for Administrative Professionals obtaining 18 continuing education credits. Notary Public – expiration 4/30/2011. (Certified Professional Secretary Certification) in November 2002 through J. Sergeant Reynolds Community College. Current certification expires 2010.

 

Pam Leichssenring

Project Manager
Ms. Leichssenring is Project Manager of Artcraft Development, L.C., working closely with the President to foster the growth of the companies through new acquisitions.

Since joining the company in 2003 she held the position of Administrator and quickly moved into the position of Project Management and Capital Expenditure projects for the company. Her responsibilities require her to work closely with our attorney, architects, bankers and vendors on a daily basis to transact and close acquisition transactions.

Ms. Leichssenring also has the primary responsibility for rehabilitation of new and existing acquisitions, overseeing job sites and ensuring that all capital projects are completed according to specifications and budget. Ms. Leichssenring’s most recent project was overseeing project completion of the Commons of Centerbrooke in Suffolk, Virginia. This is a newly constructed 132 unit senior complex.

Ms. Leichssenring is extremely active in continuing education within the industry, attending numerous industry related conferences and seminars each year.
